高考英语记叙文写作篇1

Last weekend, I helped my grandparents their trip to Beidaihe. On Saturday morning, together with my grandparents, I searched the Internet for the train schedule, the weather in Beidaihe, and some hotel information. In the afternoon, I went to the train station and managed to buy two tickets for my grandparents although there was a long queue. After dinner, I packed into the suitcase the things my grandparents need, such as clothes, glasses, an umbrella, and a map. The next morning, I went to the station to see them off. Waving goodbye to them on the platform, I felt happy for them and wished them a safe journey.

One Thing I'm Proud of

I still remember how I became agood table tennis player.

The first day I went to high school,I saw some of my classmates playing table tennis. Amazed at how skilful they were,I was determined to be just as good. Later on, I often

watched them carefully tolearn their techniques. Then I kept practising until I became confident enough to challenge the good players. At the end of the term I became one of the best playersin my class.

I am really proud of this experience, because it helps me realize that we all can fulfil our potential and achieve our goals through hard work. It also helps me better understand the proverb “Practice makes perfect.”

On March 11, 2011, I experienced the largest earthquake in Japan’s recorded history. It was fourteen minutes to three. I was on a Tokyo-bound train heading to my weekend English teaching job when my train suddenly stopped and began shaking violently. First, I heard a noise, but I don’t know what was happening. And then I watched all the glasses and bottles on the table fall off onto the floor. The earth shook for a while and some luggage fell off the shelf. I got up from my bed and moved to a window, only to find buildings along the railway swaying and some electricity lines toppling down to the ground. It was a huge earthquake. The quake resulted in a tsunami that ravaged Japan’s east coast with a 23-foot wave, leaving hundreds dead or missing.

My classmate admires my fluent English very much and I usually feel encouraged by

his compliments. One day, when we learned the new word “eccentric” in class, we were asked to make a sentence with it.I volunteeredto do it by saying “My deskmate is an eccentric boy whose clothes never fit him.” Hearing this, the whole class burst into laughter and my deskmate's face turned red. After class, I learned from the teacher that my deskmate would have dropped out of school if he hadn't been helped by others. My mindless words must have hurt him deeply.

Not until then did I realize words could be powerful in both positive and negative. We should avoid hurting others ifwe can't always be encouraging when we speak.
