雅思大作文范文:旅游活动好与坏

Tourism is often touted as an industry that will never shrink in size. In other words, as theworld develops, more and more people will be able to travel. Although many may see this as apositive phenomenon, it is not a trend without drawbacks. Both the advantages anddisadvantages of this topic will be analyzed before a reasoned conclusion is reached.

On the one hand, the reduction in travel fare and the increasing of global tourism can be seenas a positive event as it promotes intercultural understanding and global harmony. Forexample, many Middle Eastern states have opened their doors and embraced tourism over thelast twenty years and this has helped shed prejudiced views internationally that all MiddleEastern countries are dangerous. This development clearly shows the benefits of an increasinginternational tourism industry.

In addition to this, tourism creates new opportunities for trade. For example, many Chinesetourists are bringing back products from foreign countries that are currently unavailable inChina. These new trade ties are great for the health of the entire global economy and can beseen as yet another positive ramification resulting from increased tourism.

On the other hand, the international tourism industry does pose some disadvantages. For one, money travelling into countries through tourism can lead to the establishment of some morallyquestionable activity. To name a few, tourist hotspots in developing countries are often rifewith theft problems, maimed beggars and prostitution. The inflaming of these issues as a resultof increased tourism is an obvious disadvantage to the growing global travel industry.

Following this analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of tourism and the falling travelprices that are making it more possible, it is felt tourism has more benefits than drawbacks. It ishoped the growth in global intercultural understanding continues uninterrupted as tourismincreases.

雅思大作文范文:远程办公

With all its benefits to communities and employees as well as employers, telecommuting hascome to be viewed as more a complement rather than a substitute for work in the workplace. Thanks to computer technology, more and more workers can be allowed to do their jobs fromhome for part of each week, but this growing trend should be examined in both social andindividual contexts. It is safe to say that the WFH (working-from-home) system has somethingto gain and something to lose.

On the positive side, telework is used not only to achieve reduction in environmental impactson communities but also help employees enhance the work-family balance. For a societyseriously troubled with air pollution and transport problems, WFH could be partly thesolution. This advantage is particularly true during the rush hours because the more there istraffic congestion; the more there are emissions of gas from motorized vehicles. Apart fromthat, the telecommuting staff can also save significant amounts of travel time and transit costsby being allowed to work in the comforts of home, using personal computers, iPads and smart-phones. At home, employees are free to do as they please, like being in shorts and T-shirts andenjoying music, without any supervisor looking over their shoulders. Needless to say, WFHworkers, especially women, can as well care for their children or even their pets at the sametime, and who knows?

On the negative side, among other drawbacks to telecommuting is that it is hard for workersto separate the private life from the business life. This is undesirable because they may notrespect the necessary boundaries between work and family, which is likely to affectorganizational efficiency to a certain degree. As can be imagined, when employees do nothave to be at the office by 9 a.m., it takes a phenomenal quantity of self-discipline to startthe day's work without the need of leaving home. Moreover, by not commuting to the centralworkplace, employees stand good chances of becoming socially anonymous. To decrease whatis known as"carbon footprint" (pollution), co-workers and bosses are beginning to have fewerand fewer face-to-face social contacts, only to find themselves socially "isolated". Theseexamples may explain why the majority of companies still do not particularly favor WFH simplyfor the sake of saving office operation expenses.

Weighing its pros and cons, WFH is a trend that has grown and one which looks like it willcontinue, for sure. Using telecommunication technology over long distances, telework is areflection of the reality that is re-defining the workplace in communities and changing the wayoffice employees manage their work and family obligations. However, it is hardly possible thatthis work arrangement would become the mainstream anytime soon, considering what is "outof sight" is often "out of mind".

雅思大作文范文:家庭办公对谁有利

Progressions in telecommunications technology haveenabled the practice of telecommuting, which meansworkers can conduct their assigned tasks withouthaving to commute back and forth to workregularly. This emerging working pattern hasprofound implications on our work and life.Someassert that only workers, not the employers, can bebeneficiaries of telecommuting.Personally,I cannot go along with their view.

Granted, telecommuting can bestow numerous benefits upon the employees123 beginwith, employees do not have to live with the constant fear that their boss may look over theirshoulders,as their work is supervised from far away and in more laissez faire fashions. There isno need for them to get super well-groomed and they can "slack off" a bit when the work-induced stress is too intense to bear. They can even do aerobics or take showers to refreshthemselves provided they can meet the deadline set by theirbosses.Furthermore, telecommuting can spare workers the everyday chore of traveling back andforth to work. And this,in turn, helps them to cut down on costs of bus fare, fuel orextravagant work clothes.Lastly, telecommuters can dedicate far more time to their spouseand offspring than office-bound workers. This can, doubtless, strengthen their family ties ormay even salvage dysfunctional households.

Yet it would be erroneous if we fail to ackowledge the advantages telecommuting can conferon the employers. In the first place, less constraints, less peer pressure at work,no office politicsand more flexible schedules can boost employee morale and enhance productivity.Empiricalevidence abounds in this respect that more occupational freedom can, more often thannot, lead to stronger vocational motivation and more innovative ideas.Hence, employers maywell be better off not keeping tabs on their workers nine to five every weekday. In the secondplace telecommuting work force can help business-owners substantially curtail the overheadcosts, such as the costs of rent and utilities.Thirdly, the fact that workers can telecommute viathe worldwide communications network allows employers to recruit people from remotelocations or even half way around the globe, thereby markedly augmenting the labor pool ofbusinesses.Last but not least, employers will not be plagued by petty concerns such asabsenteeism and excessive sick leaves anymore if workers telecommute.

To conclude,I concede that telecommuting can bring about a variety of boons toemployees. However,it would be unjustifiable if we overlooked the advantages telecommutingcan spawn on the employers' side. And we should strive to seek out the most effectiveapproach to exploit this win-win situation.

雅思大作文范文:在家工作的问题

Progresses in telecommunication technology enable more and more people to work at home. This emerging working pattern is popular among young people, and it will have profoundimplications for our work and life. Some have a good round of applause for it, while othersworry about its negative effects.

Some people say that working at home can bestow numerous benefits upon the workersand their families. First of all, it spares the employee the daily chore of traveling back and forthto and from work, which inevitably save them a lot of time and money Also, it savesemployees' energy so that they are able to work more efficiently Secondly, working at homemeans the employee can arrange his or her time more flexible as long as . they can meet thedeadlines of the tasks. Thus, they can dedicate more time to their: spouse and children, whichis obviously helpful to strength family ties and salvage dysfunctional marriage.

However, other people insist that working at home brings stresses to the home. They thinkthat this working pattern will blur the conventional distinctions between working hours andrest time. In this way, the stress of working tasks may last for an even longer period and itmay probably spread to every corner of the home. And all the members in the family willinevitably be influenced by the pressure. Besides, working at home will also generate muchtrouble to both companies and individuals.

All in all, in my opinion, we should view the working pattern dialectically It indeed frees theworkers but not everyone or every industry is suitable for it We'd _better not choose it blindlywithout considering our characteristics and working industry.
