外企英语面试技巧

一、面试各阶段的重点

第一轮面试,会从你的个人简历出发,询问一些有关个人的问题,比如请你用英语作自我介绍,这个阶段对应聘者的英语口语水平要求不是很高,能熟悉一些日常会话即可。还有些公司也会有一部分英语笔试,比如中英互译的项目,主要考查应聘者基本的语言运用能力。

进入第二轮面试,从个人情况介绍转向专业领域。比如应聘市场部,则应聘者通常会被要求谈一谈以往最成功的案例,或者自身的业务强项等。另外,应聘技术类岗位的人才应该熟悉本专业的英文术语,能够用英文与国际专家交流合作,因此建议理工类人才应该注意专业英语的准备。

而最后一轮面试,将是对英语口语能力的极大挑战。因为,最后一轮面试一般是和公司总裁级的人物面对面进行交流,外企的总裁一般是外国人,当然面试也就变成全英语的了。专家提醒,总裁询问的问题一般会和公司的精神、企业文化有关,建议应聘者可以在了解企业精神文化的基础上事先准备一份英文底稿并熟记,在交谈时就能比较流畅。

二、英语面试需要注意的问题

事前准备必不可少,但真正到了面试关,也许会有许多意想不到的问题出现,比如,没听懂考官的问题,考官出的问题不知道该如何回答等等。遇到这些情况,应聘者该如何处理呢?

平时要注意训练听力至少要听得懂考官的问题,如果对考官的提问,你听得云里雾里,然后来两三个“pardon”,那留给考官的印象可想而知。说话要流利,思维要连贯,层次要清晰,不要夹杂中文,有时候真不知怎么回答好时,可以用“well”、“however”这样的过渡词来给自己停顿和思考的时间。

表述口语化一些有些应聘者认为多使用一些复杂的句型、生僻的单词会让考官认为自己的英语能力很高,其实,这犯了舍本逐末的错误,用简单直白的语言表现最具魅力的自我,才是英文面试的至高境界。不要不屑于用therebe句型,不要不屑于用第一人称,如果要说某个词却一时想不起来,那就换种说法,尽量避免卡壳,保持谈话的流畅。

发音要标准不要太在意语法错误。在面谈过程中,发音的正确清晰与否是最为重要的,而有些应聘者特别害怕犯语法的错误,有时候面试官还不是特别在意,因为,大多数时候一些细小的语法错误并不影响交际的进行。

回答语速切莫过快据一位资深面试官介绍,在面试时经常会看到这种情形,应聘者在听完提问之后便一口气回答,语速狂飙,令在场老外目瞪口呆,因为他们没有听懂应聘者这种赶飞机似的中式英文。其实,英文面试的第一目的是让国外主管了解你,甚至对你感兴趣,最重要的是展示你的综合素质,而绝非单单的语言能力,所以应聘者应该首先力求表达清晰。

Caroline:In brief, we offer both in-house and off-site training to our AP or U.S.headquarters. We have a few daylong training sessions for topics like businesswriting skills and software training.
