来自美国底特律的Electric Six，是一个包括主唱Dick Valentine, 吉它手Rock and Roll Indian、Surge Joebot，贝斯手Disco，键盘手Tait Nucleus 和鼓手Martin M六人在内的Disco-Punk乐队。其前身是成立於1996的the wildbunch，当时是一支不折不扣的底特律Garage Rock(车库摇滚)乐队，曾发表过一张《Rock Empire》专辑及零碎的单曲。然后他们开始在其车房摇滚本位上加入Disco与Funk的舞曲成分。2002年签约XL Recordings旗下后，他们换了个更酷、更有性格的名字，于是Electric Six便从此诞生了,接着就有了2003的新专辑《Fire》，也就有了《Danger!High Voltage》这首歌。

其实每一件事情都是好事多磨的，Electric Six也不例外。作为乐队灵魂核心人物Dick Valentine，在2003到2004年经历了一整串的团员大变动，先是"Fire"面世的前夕，两位吉他手The Rock And Roll Indian和Surge Joebot以及Disco结伴离去，令乐队差点儿解散,到后来的新加入的成员的开队，再更换，一直到看似对"dick情人"忠心耿耿鼓手M的离开，不过这些都是过去的事情了，但只要有Dick在，Electric Six新作品就会不断。
