Quite often some people will confess that after a long day being calm and in complete control of their busy, successful lives, they collapse on the sofa and gorge on chocolate until their stomach aches. Emotional eating then could derail their weight-loss efforts.

Food has so much control over our lives, and if we're honest, most of us will admit to having used food at some point in an emotional way. We eat to distract or alter the way we are feeling, to find pleasure, to avoid pain.

I don't like to hurt his feeling.(我不愿意伤害他的感情。)

Noise outside distracted her mind from her studies.
